Your tour begins with a 10-minute video at the Visitor Center, which tells the history of the construction of the dam. The guided tour continues by bus outside of the reservoir with three stops to allow you to appreciate its panoramic views. See the view from the edge of the dam and continue on the path that will take you to the natural surroundings of the dam and the beautiful scenery inside the Touristic Itaipu Complex. At the end of the tour, enjoy the beautiful view of Itaipu Lake before returning to your hotel. After being picked up from your hotel, arrive at the Itaipu Dam Visitor Center. Watch a 10-minute introductory video in the cinema room which explains how the dam was constructed. Learn about how the Itaipu Dam extends for 7,719 meters across and 196 meters in height and is a world leader in renewable energy production.  Continue the tour with a ride in a double-decker bus along the perimeter of the reservoir, making 3 stops for you to admire the incredible panoramas. This route allows for privileged views of the spillway at the edge of the dam and gives you the chance to admire the beautiful natural scenery within the Itaipu Complex. The dam was constructed across the border of Brazil and Paraguay so during the tour, you will hop from one country to another. At the end of the tour, take the opportunity to soak up the beautiful views from the top of Itaipu Lake before taking advantage of a return transfer back to your hotel. Begins early in the morning with the pick up at your hotel to take you to the National Park. The pick-up time will depend on the area where you are staying, approximately between 7:20 a.m. until 08:00 am. The Brazilian Falls will be visited with its traditional gateway of 1,200 meters long where you can get a spectacular panoramic view of the 275 waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls, of which the Brazilian side are four: Floriano, Deodoro, Benjamin Constant and Salto Union or Devil's Throat. After the tour, you have access to the panoramic lift that will reach the bus that will take you back to the gateway. After a stop for lunch (not included), the tour continues to Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant. It is the largest in operation in the world and a binational development by Brazil and Paraguay on the Parana River. The installed capacity of the plant is 12 million and 600 thousand kW, with 18 generating units of 700,000 kW the plant is responsible of supplying 90% of the electricity consumed in Paraguay and 25% of the demand for Brazil. As engineering work was chosen by the A.S.C.E. (American Society of Civil Engineering) as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern Technological World.
